It is also backed by a series of sand dunes which are teaming with coastal wildlife. To one end of the beach, you will see the ‘Valley of the Diamonds’, a volcano-like formation visible in the in the largest of the dunes.

Activities for All

Visitors to Enniscrone can enjoy a wide range of shoreside activities including water-sports and horse-riding. The beach is also ideally located right beside the popular Enniscrone Golf course, a stunning championship links course offering 27 holes across 400 acres which has been voted ‘Best in Connacht’ by the Golfers Guide to Ireland. You can find out more about golfing options in the area in the section of our website addressed here.

Seaweed Baths

Seaweed baths have long been lauded for the many therapeutic and healing qualities contained in both seaweed and seawater. Seawater contains large amounts of magnesium which the body needs at a cellular level while seaweed is particularly high in iodine which is necessary for supporting a healthy metabolism and maintaining energy levels.  Kilcullen’s Seaweed Bath House, which is right by the beach, has now been in business for over a hundred years and is just the place to visit for a truly immersive seaside experience.
