Top of the pops at our Wedding Expo last Sunday were celebrity couple and special guests Jenny McCarthy and Martin King. Jenny shared tips and stories from her year of photographing celebrities at their weddings, keeping everyone entertained and much the wiser for her sage advice. Along with hubby Martin, she was a willing participant in magician/mentalist Conor Breen’s hugely entertaining stage act.
Dressed in a glorious tiered black tulle skirt, sparkling Docs and a cute white knit top adorned with black bows, Jenny looked every bit the star. She dispensed invaluable advice on how to work with your wedding photographer for the best shots (and minimal disruption), how photographers and influencers can work together and even how to react to wardrobe malfunctions!
With 20 years’ experience in the wedding industry, Jenny reckons there is nothing that she doesn’t know about weddings and we definitely won’t disagree with her! Married to DJ Martin King, Jenny has photographed weddings for celebrity couples such as influencers Suzanne Jackson and Rosie Connolly and celebrities such as Glenda Gilson, Brian Dowling and Stephanie Roche.
The room was packed with dozens of wedding related stands from designer dresses and accessories to hair, makeup and musicians. The stage was busy with presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions while prospective couples toured the hotel facilities including the bridal suite and Atlantic Room which is ideal for intimate weddings.
