The Ocean Sands Hotel, together with our Head Chef Marcin Szczodrowski, are proud to host our first-ever Producers Event on Wednesday, 7th of May. A unique celebration of unsung food heroes that is not to be missed.
What Is It?
Chef Marcin will be using this event to proudly highlight the incredible businesses, and faces behind them, who create the world class produce that allows him to not only do his job, but to love doing it. From artisan cheesemakers to local dessert legends, these suppliers are the soul of our kitchen – and this event is a thank you, a showcase and a celebration all in one.
Who Will Be There?
We can’t give away all our secrets, but maybe a few…
Expect familiar names like Mammy Johnston’s and Kelly’s of Newport, alongside hidden treasures such as Dozio’s Cheese and Cnoic Glas.
Not only will we have all these incredible producers and more, but there will also be a special appearance from Ocean FM’s Kevin Furey. Kevin will be hosting a live, on-site broadcast from 11pm to 1pm. He will be talking to Chef Marcin, as well as a few of the producers and possibly even some attendees.
What To Expect?
The event will be a chance to speak to producers and learn about their stories, understanding the work that goes into their craft, and to learn about businesses you never knew you needed in your life. There will also be delicious tastings, with canapes prepared by Chef Marcin and perhaps a sample or two from the producers themselves.
