Here is a suggested Itinerary for your 4 day, 3 night stay:
Day 1
You’re Welcome! After a day of travelling, you will be greeted by a friendly face and given a warm welcome. Check in and get settled into your ocean view room from 3pm then head down to the Ocean Spa and enjoy a treatment, from Indian Head Massage to Full Body Massage or a restoring Facial. You could also soak your stresses away in one of our bathing rituals together. Feeling hungry? Head on into the Ocean Bar for your evening meal, enjoy a refreshing drink whilst gazing out over to the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a leisu4rely stroll before you turn in for the night, Enniscrone by sundown is most beautiful!
Day 2
Rise and shine, breakfast is served in Dunnes – from a hearty cooked breakfast to a continental selection, whatever you prefer to start your day the right way, topped off with freshly brewed Coffee. Explore Ballina, a local town located a 20 minute drive from The Ocean Sands Hotel, here you can explore Moyne Abbey, visit the North May Heritage Centre and so much more. Whilst you are visiting Mayo and are over in that direction a visit to Down Patrick Head is a must, Just a short drive from the quaint village of Ballycastle, Downpatrick Head is a remarkable heritage site, once home to a church founded by St. Patrick. You can explore a holy well, a stone cross, and a small building that served as a lookout post during World War II. The dramatic Dun Briste sea stack is a highlight in itself, offering breathtaking views from the surrounding cliffs that are truly unforgettable. After your day of exploring come back to us and enjoy your inclusive evening meal.
Day Three
County Mayo yesterday, County Sligo today… after you have enjoyed your leisurely breakfast in Dunnes, grab a freshly ground coffee from Waves Barista and jump into the Car, take a spin down the coastal road towards Sligo for some epic scenery. Sligo town is vibrant, perfect for an afternoon of shopping or trying out the many cafes, restaurant and bars. If you would like to explore and experience, Sligo is the perfect spot! From the Sligo Oyster Experience which consists of tastings and a visit to the Oyster Farm to see what goes on behind the scenes, to strolling through Sligo Abbey which is steeped in history. If you are feeling energetic the Benbulben Forest walk is breathtaking – 5.5km loop (for more information on this walk visit the website here
Head on back to The Ocean Sands Hotel for another trip to the spa before your last inclusive evening meal.
Day Four
After your late breakfast, stay local before your departure, take a stroll on the beautiful Enniscrone beach, take a seat along the pier and watch the world go by, after checking out, enjoy a special dining experience with our afternoon tea by the sea. An array of freshly prepared sandwiches with traditional fillings, Scones, and homemade sweet treats! Such a lovely experience and the perfect way to end your Enniscrone Golden years getaway!
