Ocean Sands wins Fine Dining Experience of the Year
We’re flying high this week after a fabulous win at the prestigious Yes Chef Awards 2025 held at the Radisson Blu in Sligo. Having been nominated at the regional stage Executive Head Chef Marcin Szczodrowski, Chef Michal Mizerski and their team were thrilled to win the national Fine Dining Experience of the Year 2025 award. This is a huge honour and a credit to Chef Marcin who has put so much work into developing the Chef’s Table fine dining events at the Ocean Sands Hotel.
“I am very proud of Chef Marcin and his wonderful team”, said Jennifer Howley, General Manager, Ocean Sands Hotel, “He has consistently worked to develop exciting new menus using local and seasonal produce which is his passion. The highlight of course is the regular Chef’s Table event which puts a real focus on the fine dining aspect”.
There to support Chef Marcin on the night along with Jennifer Howley were Adam Duffy (Duty Manager), Gary Raleigh (Operations Manager) and Mark Downey (Food and Beverage Manager).
The Yes Chef awards are held annually after a series of regional finals. They are run by Yes Chef magazine – the food publication for the hospitality industry and lovers of good food operated by well-known couple Shane and Nicci Smith.
A fantastic accolade to receive ahead of the Ocean Sands ‘Chefs Table Producers Event’ on Wednesday 7th May from 10am until 1pm. A chance for Chef Marcin to showcase the producers he uses for his fine dining Chefs Table Evenings and seasonal menus throughout the hotel. This event is open to the public and is free entry so come along!
